If the the video of the Professor in the small window seems to be out of sync with the presentation material in the large window, verify these settings in Internet Explorer:

  1. From the IE, 'Tools' menu select 'Internet Options'
  2. Click on the 'Security' tab
  3. Choose the 'Internet' zone by clicking on the Globe icon
  4. Click the 'Custom Level' button
  5. Under the 'ActiveX controls and plugins' heading, click the radio buttons for 'Enable' under 'Run ActiveX controls and plugins' and 'Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting'
  6. Under the 'Scripting' heading, click the radio button to 'Enable' under 'Active Scripting'
  7. Click 'OK'

If you continue to see problems with syncronization after verifying the above settings, check the IE status bar at the bottom of left of the browser window for an error message (choose status bar from the IE 'View' menu if it is not already checked.) If so, double-click the icon and send  the details of the message are to meonline@umich.edu. Include the course and session number you are viewing. You may also want to try refreshing the page (F5).  Wait 10 seconds after refreshing; If the error does not reappear, the slides should be syncronized.
